2600 pre made Locus, one big memory palace, make it without leaving home, instant location finding, for long term memorization

I got the idea from harry Lorayne memory book and I was hooked to it. He said to use alphabets to create loki. Like a1 a2 a3 a4...... J1 j2 j3 j4. A total of 10 alphabet give 100 Locis. Like j7 became joker.

But, the question is, why do 100 only? Why not use it all?

I am doing it right now. I am creating a Loci list of 2600 places approx. Each alphabet will give 100 Locus, instead of 10. In this way a94 became - abrasion or apartment.

It would be tough to find all the words. But with some modification in major system we can easily do it using a dictionary. I made 100 today at the time I am writing. Took me almost 2 hours to find them all.

But without hard work you can't achieve anything right?

so, here is the proposal, do anybody of you can join the team and help me making it? We can distribute the work. It would be immensely helpful. Because we can pinpoint the exact location. Or is the idea is a complete flop? Let me know.

Seems like a flop.

Sometimes it takes people a while to reply. If you want to turn it into a group project, we could create a wiki page for it that anyone could edit. :)

Thank you josh for replying. I already made almost 1000 Locis. It will be done completely within tomorrow.

I am surprised why nobody tried it before. It's so easy to turn alphabets into Locis!

But the problem is, it's hard to find some words. For which you need to take help from another alphabet. Like 7 is c and k in major system. But it's tough to find 200 words for them. So you have to sacrifice k for c.

So I think, instead of 2600, we can make 2000 Locis. But without leaving home. Right? And they are instant. With precise location.

Could you post an example?

Do you mean use a letters and numbers (major system) together to create pegs something like this?

a1 - atom
b1 - bat
c1 - cat
etc.

a2 - anteater
b2 - bandit
c2 - can
etc.

Yes like B90 - babes B51- blood

I mean, not just 10. It's 100 images using one alphabet. So 20 alphabet gives 2000 objects. We are leaving 6 because they will be used in these 20 alphabets.

I have already made many. But with every alphabet 15% words are hard to find. But that can be easily solved by using - my, two etc as prefix. I guess. What intriguing is, you can easily pinpoint the exact location. So it will be easier to memorise pi and tell the exact 576th number. In 2000 Locis, someone could hold 12000 numbers with exact location . And that's huge.

I'm planning on using groups of 100 objects. This method can also give 2000 loci. If you run out of loci, you can add another 100 objects.

I have sent you my whatsapp number. I was planning something like that too. We can discuss it there. I first saw these random object Locus thing in a hundred year old book. It was going to be my second project. Sure we can make it together. I have some big plans this year. Yeah we can do it together.

Thank you for asking.

Its amazing. But the thing is, while doing this I have got a new and better idea and started using it. It is much more easier than the 2600 Loci system. And it's much more better and also I can make unlimited number of Loci with this. And currently I have stopped working on it and started USING the new system. And it's working just fine. It saves much time. Once I Complete my big memorising project(because of which I started creating this),i will share the system. With this new system I can create unlimited amount of Loci in no time.

Imagine memorising a whole trivial book of 120 pages, with page number, all the questions answers forward backwards, (which will need like 2400 to 2500 loci). It will be awesome. I just started it today. I need to perfect it first.

Then I will share it. Why stopping in 2600? Why not 26000?

Thank you guys for showing interest. I dropped the project at the middle. But now I think I will have to start it all over again. Let's make a group of interested people and divide the work. Everyone take 5 alphabets and make the list.

Let's make a group. We need 4 more people,excluding me. 5*5 =25 alphabet.
