Kwik Learning Review

Hey all,

I was listening to a radio program featuring Jim Kwik of "Superhero You" and Kwik Learning systems. I am by no means doing a "plug" here. I haven't purchased anything. This guy offers speed reading techniques, learning 3x faster and remembering names, important facts, etc.

I am always looking for programs out there both for myself and my patients but looking at the reviews on Facebook and the complaints of lack of customer service and the online-portal not working after purchasing, I have second thoughts.

My main question or "point" of this topic is: isn't memorization techniques what we do anyway on this website? There's a video of him listing off a set of 50 double-digit random numbers that the audience throws at him and they are all amazed. That's great, but many of us on here can do that and more.

Just wondering if any of you have heard of the guy and company and if it's worth even looking into. The speed reading programs that I have purchased in the past are all pretty much the same and the memorization methods I have learned from all of you.

Any comments or suggestions would be more than appreciated.

I don't know anything about that product, so couldn't comment on it, but there are some lists of resources in the Beginners Portal.

I commend Jim Kwik's efforts, but personally, I don't think the prices of the courses are worth your money; there are no refunds - all sales are final. For speed reading, "Breakthrough Rapid Reading by Peter Kump" is a helpful read. https://www.amazon.com/Breakthrough-Rapid-Reading-Peter-Kump/dp/073520019X

The Art of Memory forum's content is similar to the book "Moonwalking with Einstein by Joshua Foer," a great read! He mentions "Rhetorica and Herennium by Cicero" is an important book, too.

I also enjoyed learning from a course taught by Scott Young, if you want to check out his content, the blog link is -- https://www.scotthyoung.com/blog/
