Memorizing a number sequence that includes negative numbers


To memorize a sequence of numbers that has both positive and negative numbers, how would I distinguish between, say, 12 and -12? Should I use a modification of the Major System for this? What would you folks suggest?

How long is the number sequence?

What I would do is make a modification for my image. So take 93. If I had -93, I would picture big bird on fire. Fire would represent the - But if I had 93, I would just see bid bird.

I would splash the object with red paint, but it applies the same principle as Parkouristz.

I work with fire as well, also clearly having the person of the image be aware of him/her being on fire to make sure the full image is different.

An alternative I have used for a while is to make the - an actual PAO image, though that got me slightly confused sometimes.

Are all of the negative numbers next to each other or interspersed with positive numbers? Could you post some example data?
